Adventure Activities provided by Devon Adventure Training

Abseiling

Abseiling is a technique that climbers, cavers and others use to get quickly, easily and safely down a pitch. Although strictly not a sport in itself, abseiling is certainly good fun. Just northeast of Plymouth (Devon) in the beautiful Dewerstone Woods you can undergo training and then experience the thrill of adventure activities like abseiling for yourself. There are a variety of crags allowing you to start on something easy and then work up to a level which is very scary indeed!

Small groups between one and six people are not combined with other groups, so pay the "group charge" for a "maximum group size" of six. For more information about prices see our prices page.

Climbing

The Dewerstone on the southwest edge of Dartmoor offers an excellent location for this adventure activity. Situated within the ancient oak wood Dewerstone Woods beside the River Plym in Devon, this 120 foot high Granite crag gives us classic climbs such as Central Groove, Climbers' Club and Agag's Slab ;-)

All necessary equipment and training for activities is provided by our experienced staff.
